Frequently Asked Questions

Is my personal and health information confidential?

  • Yes! Everything that happens in any of our sessions will remain confidential. Feel free to see my liability form for more details.

What does a holistic health practitioner do, and how can it benefit me?

  • A Holistic Health Practitioner uses a personalized approach to well-being that considers the interconnectedness of your body, mind, and spirit. It helps you achieve comprehensive wellness, addressing not only physical health but also mental clarity, emotional resilience, and spiritual fulfillment. It can benefit you by guiding you toward a balanced and vibrant life.

How does holistic health consults differ from traditional healthcare?

  • Holistic health consulting takes a whole-person approach. Unlike traditional healthcare, which often treats symptoms, holistic health addresses the root causes of health issues. It also differs from fitness coaching by encompassing a broader spectrum of wellness, beyond just exercise and nutrition.

How long does it typically take to see results or improvements in one's health and well-being?

  • The time frame for seeing results in holistic health can vary from person to person. It depends on several factors, including your individual goals, the specific issues you're addressing, and your commitment to the process. Some clients may notice positive changes in a matter of weeks, while others may take a few months to see significant improvements. We are focusing on long-term well-being, so the journey may extend beyond immediate results as you develop sustainable habits and lifestyle changes.

What is Muscle Response Testing (MRT)?

  • Muscle response testing, often known as applied kinesiology, is like a body's own "truth detector."

Imagine you're holding a door closed and someone tries to push it open. If you're feeling strong and confident, you can resist that push. But if you're unsure or distracted, the door might open a bit. Muscle response testing works similarly. A practitioner will apply gentle pressure to a muscle, usually your arm, while you hold a substance or think of a specific item or question. If the muscle remains strong and resists the pressure, it's seen as a "positive" response. If the muscle weakens and can't resist, it's a "negative" response. The idea is that your body has an innate wisdom and can "communicate" what's good or bad for you through these muscle responses.

MRT can be used as a personalized tool to help clients gain insights into their wellness journey and It serves as a complementary method to other holistic approaches, guiding individuals towards better understanding their body's preferences. Health practitioners use MRT to facilitate awareness in clients about potential body responses to various stimuli, helping them make informed choices. MRT is employed as a non-invasive technique to explore individual energetic responses. It's a method to engage clients in active participation in their well-being, fostering a sense of empowerment.

While MRT is not a diagnostic tool, nor does it replace medical advice or treatments. It's a complementary approach used in the broader context of holistic well-being.

What is tapping or Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)?

  • Tapping involves stimulating certain energy meridian points on the body by tapping on them with the fingertips. The process is typically accompanied by verbal affirmations addressing specific emotional issues. The combination of tapping and speaking aims to release emotional blockages, reduce stress, and promote healing.

What is Emotion Code?

  • Developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, the Emotion Code is a method to identify and release trapped emotions. These are believed to be negative energies from past traumatic or emotionally charged events that can get stuck in the body. Using muscle testing (a form of biofeedback), practitioners identify these trapped emotions and then release them using a magnet passed over the governing meridian (a central energy pathway).

What does an Emotional Release Session look like?

  • We begin by discussing the your concerns and objectives for the session. I use muscle testing to identify trapped emotions. Once these emotions are identified, they are released using the magnet technique. If needed, I guide you through tapping on specific meridian points while voicing affirmations tailored to the emotional challenges you’re facing. The session concludes with a brief discussion, allowing the you to reflect on any changes in your emotional state and overall feelings.

Both EFT and Emotion Code aim to provide relief from emotional distress and support overall emotional well-being. However, it's important to note that while many find these techniques beneficial, they should be used as complementary methods and not replacements for professional medical or psychological care.

What is energy work?

  • Energy work, at its core, is about achieving optimal alignment of the body's energetic pathways. Imagine the body as a complex circuit board, where each pathway must be free of blockages to allow the electrical current (energy) to flow efficiently to power the system (the body and its functions).

The concept of free-flowing energy is analogous to a river: when the riverbed is clear, water flows smoothly, but if there's debris or a dam, the water's movement is obstructed, leading to turbulence and potentially overflow or stagnation. Similarly, energy must flow unimpeded through the body's meridians for health and vitality. Disruptions in this flow can manifest as physical or emotional symptoms.

During an energy work session, I use hands-on or hands-off techniques to facilitate the removal of energy blockages, thus ensuring that energy moves freely and evenly, restoring the body's natural rhythm and balance. In this process, I aim to synchronize one’s vibrational frequency with that of the natural world, enhancing well-being by re-establishing the free flow of energy.
